Metal fabrication across the Rio Grande Valley.

Our shop is in Brownsville. Our crews work the entire Valley. Twelve cities, three counties, one shop building it all in-house — for 38 years.

Built in Brownsville. Installed Valley-wide.

Torres Metals has been fabricating and installing custom metalwork for the Rio Grande Valley since 1988. Our shop is in Brownsville. Our crews — every one of them on Torres Metals payroll, no subcontractors — travel the Valley to install the work we build. Three counties, twelve cities, every kind of project the Valley puts in front of us.

The work changes by region. East Valley jobs lean residential and multifamily — the apartment complexes going up across Brownsville, the custom homes in Rancho Viejo, the security work along the border. Mid-Valley work is a mix. West Valley work skews architect-led and commercial — designer railings for custom homes in McAllen, structural steel for industrial sites, and gate work for property managers across Hidalgo County. Every project gets the same fabrication standard: built in our own shop, finished before it leaves, installed by our crew, and stood behind in writing.

If you’re in the Valley, we serve you. If your project is the right size, we’ll travel beyond it. Below is the breakdown of where we work, the cities we travel to, and a few of the projects we’ve done in each.

The Valley

Where we work.

Region 01 · East RGV

East Rio Grande Valley.

Cameron County and the Lower RGV — the area closest to our shop. Most of our project volume happens here, from the Port of Brownsville to the resort communities and the residential subdivisions across the eastern Valley.

Brownsville

Our hometown and where most of our work happens — multifamily railing packages, residential gates, custom ornamental, and structural steel at the Port of Brownsville for clients like Ziwa Corporation and Augusto’s Contracting.

Mid Rio Grande Valley.

The bridge between East and West RGV. Harlingen anchors this region with its mix of residential growth, commercial development, and access to both county economies.

Region 03 · West RGV

West Rio Grande Valley.

Hidalgo County and the Upper Valley — the metro side of the RGV. Architect-led work, larger commercial builds, and residential markets across the McAllen–Edinburg–Mission corridor. About an hour from our shop, which means we focus on substantial projects worth the drive.

McAllen

Architect-led residential and commercial work across McAllen — gate and fence work for the Garza and Mullbane residences, structural roof angles for Ziwa Corporation. The metro Valley brings substantial projects.

Beyond the Valley

When the project’s right, we travel.

Most of our work is in the Rio Grande Valley. But for larger commercial projects with the right scope, we travel beyond it. Recent out-of-Valley work includes pool railings for Allstar RV Resort in Houston and a residential railing project in Memphis, Tennessee.

If you have a commercial-scale project outside the RGV that needs a fab shop with our standards, call us. We’ll tell you straight up whether the scope makes sense for both sides.

Don’t see your city?

Call us anyway. If you’re in the Rio Grande Valley or somewhere along the Texas Gulf coast, there’s a good chance we can quote your project.
